Reservation Policy the Aster Lanka website is the property of Aster lanka(Private) Limited, headquartered at “Asterlanka tours,Araiya 88,Siridigana Road,Putuhapuwa, Teldeniya. Sri Lanka. Aster lanka tours collaborates with a variety of local suppliers to present products and services on the Asterlanka tours.com portal. Purchases and bookings made via our site are subject to these terms and additional supplier-specific terms. It is your duty to review and comply with the terms set by our suppliers. Failure to adhere to these terms may lead to the annulment of bookings, denial of hotel access, loss of payments, and Aster Lanka Tours charging you for any resulting expenses. You bear full responsibility for all costs, including those incurred by others acting on your behalf, with or without your approval.

This website does not guarantee offers. The details provided are an invitation for you to propose to buy the advertised travel arrangements. Acceptance of any offer is at the discretion of our suppliers and is always contingent upon confirmation and availability.

For direct hotel bookings and land arrangements via this site, confirmation occurs upon online acknowledgment, credit card detail submission, payment in full, or deposit payment, and our subsequent receipt confirmation. An initial non-refundable deposit may be required in certain instances.

Holiday Reservations We consider a holiday booking valid once we receive your written confirmation and either the full payment or a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the travel arrangement cost. This deposit requirement may be waived at our discretion. During peak seasons, a 50% advance payment is mandatory. Bookings made within 30 days of arrival in Sri Lanka necessitate immediate full payment. Your payment and written confirmation signify your agreement to these terms.

Finalizing Payment, the remaining balance for your travel arrangements must be settled no later than 30 days before your arrival in Sri Lanka. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your booking.

Payment Methods You can settle deposits and final payments for travel arrangements via:

Bank transfer
Credit card (Visa and MasterCard) Note: For bank transfers, any fees incurred outside Sri Lanka are your responsibility.

Credit Card Payments & Security

Secure Payment Gateway For credit card payments, we offer a secure online payment gateway. An additional handling fee of 2.65% will be applied to the total invoice value. Both credit and debit cards are accepted for payment.

Processing Payments made via credit or debit card are processed through the secure payment sites managed by Nations Trust Bank, which supports both MasterCard and Visa transactions. Asterlanka Tours does not receive or retain your card details. During the checkout process, you will be redirected to Nations Trust bank’s secure payment facility.
Payment Deadlines Failure to comply with the stated payment deadlines may result in the cancellation of your provisional booking, and you will be notified accordingly.

Pricing Policy Our pricing for customized land and/or air service packages is subject to change due to factors beyond our control, such as government actions, currency fluctuations, and supplier price increases. Should the cost of your travel arrangements rise due to external factors, you will be required to pay the additional amount or cancel your arrangements as per our booking conditions. All prices are quoted in USD.

Amendments & Cancellations A fee of USD 100 will be charged for each modification request to transfer to a different tour, alter a confirmed booking, or change your travel arrangements, in addition to any fees imposed by operators, suppliers, or airlines. This fee applies regardless of whether the amendment is successfully confirmed.

We strive to deliver all travel arrangements as confirmed, but reserve the right to make reasonable changes if necessary.

Cancellation Penalties Written notification is required for cancellation, effective from the day we receive it. The following penalties apply based on the timeframe before your travel arrangements begin:

41 to 60 days: Loss of deposit
30 to 40 days: 50% of the total cost
20 to 29 days: 75% of the total cost
19 days or less: No refund
Airfare cancellation charges will vary according to airline regulations and fare type. Our cancellation terms supersede any conflicting policies from individual operators or suppliers.

Health, Passport, and Visas It is your responsibility to obtain necessary inoculations, medical advice, and ensure all travel documents are in order before your trip. Compliance with health and travel regulations is crucial for a smooth journey.
Travel Documents: It’s the traveller’s responsibility to have the correct documents.
Flight Reconfirmation: Travelers must update the travel agency with any changes in flight times and numbers.
Travel Insurance: Strongly recommended for travellers, and it’s their responsibility to ensure it’s adequate.
Safeguarding your own personal goods is your responsibility.
In case under such circumstance, you may have to seek legal help from the nearest police station. We may assist you in doing so and help resort the matter. In case of a unrecoverable loss we may advise you to claim from your insurance while guaranteeing you that we may not use the services of that service provider in the future.

Agency Liability: The agency accepts liability only for incidents due to its or its suppliers’ proven negligence, provided they arrange all accommodations and transfers.
Accommodation-Only Bookings: The agency does not accept liability for supplier negligence and acts solely as a booking agent.
Coordination Role: The agency coordinates parts of the itinerary and is not responsible for failures of services not directly under its control.
Force Majeure: The agency is not liable for changes or cancellations due to events outside its control, such as natural disasters or war.
Service Standards: The agency is responsible for ensuring that booked holidays are supplied as described and to a reasonable standard.
Facility Availability: The agency cannot be held responsible if certain facilities are unavailable due to various reasons like maintenance or weather conditions.
Alternative Arrangements: If necessary, the agency will provide alternative accommodations or services of similar or superior quality.
Damage Responsibility Should any damage, breakage, or loss occur due to your actions or those of someone in your group during your stay, it falls upon you to rectify the situation. This includes repairing the damage or fully compensating the service provider prior to your departure, as well as safeguarding us from any resulting claims or losses.

Conduct Expectations Adhering to all pertinent rules related to transportation and your holiday stay is your duty. Should our partners or representatives deem your conduct to be troublesome, harmful, or dangerous to others, we reserve the right to terminate your holiday without being liable for any subsequent expenses or claims.

Validity of Terms In the event that any part of these Booking Conditions is deemed unenforceable or invalid, the remaining terms shall remain in effect and enforceable according to the law.

Governing Law Upon confirmation of your booking with Aster Lanka tours, a contractual agreement is established, governed entirely by Sri Lankan law.

Addressing Grievances, we aim to amicably settle any legitimate grievances concerning the quality of your travel or lodging. Initially, you should address any issues directly with the service provider while keeping Aster Lanka Tours’ representative informed. If the issue persists, a formal written complaint should be submitted to us within 28 days after your trip. Failure to communicate issues through these channels relieves us of liability, as it prevents us from addressing and resolving the problem.

Feedback and Improvement We welcome feedback to enhance our services and offerings and will provide a Customer Survey for your input.

Limitation of Liability While Aster Lanka Tours endeavours to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all information is error-free. We commit to correcting any mistakes upon notification. Our views are subjective and all advice regarding accommodations or destinations is for reference only. Any reliance on our website content, especially recommendations, is at your own risk. We are not responsible for the content or your use of any third-party websites linked from ours.

We strive to accurately represent and update information about each hotel and service to the best of our ability.
Liability for Content Discrepancies Aster Lanka Tours is not accountable for any inconsistencies or variations that may occur between our website’s content, communications sent to you, and the actual services or accommodations provided.

Accuracy of Your Information You are expected to provide truthful and precise information. We respect your privacy, keeping your details confidential and safeguarded against fraud, including the protection of sensitive data like credit card numbers.

Travel Expectations Our holiday packages range from luxurious to budget-friendly options. Despite our careful planning, please be aware that Sri Lanka’s development level may lead to unexpected delays and basic conditions. Encounters with insects are not uncommon in tropical climates, and travellers should be prepared for such realities and stay informed about their destinations.

Purchasing Policy, we do not endorse or assure the value of products not listed in the travel itinerary. Any purchases made during your trip are at your discretion, and we are not liable for any dissatisfaction.

Indemnity Clause By choosing our services, you agree to protect Aster Lanka Tours and its partners from any legal actions or claims that exceed our outlined liability, including those resulting from your own actions or third-party grievances due to your use of our website.

Electronic Correspondence By using our website or emailing us, you consent to electronic communications and acknowledge that such interactions fulfil any legal requirements for written exchanges.
